Another Time, Another Place

Good news everyone! I have finally managed to find a new job with a major pharmaceutical research company which I started on Monday! Yesterday I was invited along to a staff night out which was great fun with only one thing to complain about. There was this guy, let's call him Engelbert, and he seemed like a perfectly nice guy. We chatted some and seemed to be getting on well and he asked me out. Now, I have never had a boyfriend so this was quite a big thing for me but after thinking about it I figured I was not attracted to him and tried to let him down gently. I thought that would be it and that we could be friends but throughout the night he continued to pester me to go out with him, no matter how many times I said no. Maybe if he had left it after the first time of asking, got to know me a bit better, maybe asked me again later I might have said yes but now ... now he feels creepy and a little scary and I don't know if I could even be friends with him now.

First time. First time I'm asked out and he turns out to be a weirdo. Figures.

The Best

Tonight I watched The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (for the elderly and beautiful). There hasn't been much hype about it but it is really, really good. The actors all work together brilliantly against the stunning backdrop of India with any number of quotable lines. 5/5 Only one thing, it will make you want to travel to India and discover the riotous colours and sights for yourself.

Just finished watching the Muppets Christmas Carol. It's officially Christmas!

Strictly Final

How can we choose? Really? All three couples (and Dani who's already out :( ) are fabulous so how can we decide who should win? Louis' showdance was amazing though. O_o

Well, I'm Still Here...

8am on Friday the 21st December 2012 and so far the world has not ended. Was there a specific time we should be looking out for or should I just keep an eye out all day?

Just Like Buses

I have been out of university for about three years now and for most of that time I found it really hard to get any job interviews but in the last couple of months I have had more interviews than in the two years before that combined. And now I have received a request for a second interview with a major pharmaceutical research company with a job that looks amazingly awesome and it almost feels kind of dreamlike. Like this couldn't be happening to me, shouldn't be happening to me, but I'm also so excited that my stomach flutters every time I think about it and I feel all giggly and almost light-headed.

I just really hope I don't fuck this up.
